This is a hands-on training to learn skills to help you feel comfortable walking Advanced Dogs aka Blue Paw Print Reactivity Labels.
Things we will cover are:
How to walk a strong dog.
How to handle a dog with mouthiness or that shakes clothes.
Work on walking skills.
Answer questions you may have about advanced dogs or dog walking.
Training meets in the play yard. We will bring out an Advanced Dog (such as Hewitt, Stella, or Mallow) and start the training. :) We may bring in some rowdy orange dogs, as well. Training is about 40 minutes. You must have gone through General Orientation already to take this course (be a current SPCA volunteer).
Later this season, we will have Expert Walker Training for those looking to walk our expert dogs like Zeus and Scarlett.
