Carry the SPCA Banner in the Maple Hill Holiday Parade!
Calling all proud animal lovers and families! The SPCA is marching in the Maple Hill Holiday Parade, and we’re looking for a special family (or Friend group) to lead the way by carrying our SPCA banner!
It’s a fun, active, and meaningful job — and the perfect role for a family or small group. The banner takes two people to walk with it, and having one or two extra helpers to steady it (and wave to the crowd!) makes it even better.
Where to meet: 450 E. Lovell Street
Arrival time: 10:45 AM
Theme: Reindeer!
Our parade crew — SPCA Dogs — will be dressed in festive reindeer style. The dogs will have little red-and-white reindeer ears (which they might not wear for long, but we’ll try!) and warm coats or fleeces (except any huskies and chows, who come pre-fluffed for winter).
The parade route is about 2 miles and takes around an hour to walk, so please make sure you’re comfortable keeping pace and walking the route with us. Dress warmly, wear your biggest smiles, and get ready to spread some SPCA cheer!
It’s such a fun way to celebrate the season, represent our mission, and literally lead the pack in the parade!
If your family -or friend group- would like to carry the banner and march with us, we’d love to have you! Respond now!
