FOSTER NEEDED: Romeo
Romeo is a SWEET boy who loves people and is ready to heal in a calm, comfortable home. He is recovering from ACL (TPLO) surgery and needs a dedicated foster for the next 6 weeks.
Romeo must be the ONLY animal in the home. He does not do well with other pets, but he makes up for it with his love for humans.
What Romeo needs:
• A quiet, low-activity home
• No other animals
• No stairs (he cannot go up and down right now)
• Someone willing to follow simple recovery care
His recovery care includes:
Weeks 1–2:
• Strict rest. No running, jumping, or off-leash activity
• Ice packs on incision (10–15 minutes, 2–3 times daily)
• Gentle range-of-motion exercises
• Short, slow leash walks for potty breaks only
Weeks 2–6:
• Gradually increasing short leash walks
• Encouraging slow, controlled movement
• Simple rehab exercises
SPCA will provide medical support and guidance every step of the way—you provide the safe place for Romeo to recover.
Romeo is counting on someone to help him heal.
